Admissions: BA in Environmental StudiesAdmission to the Environmental Studies concentration follows the same minimum requirements as any IAS degree:
However, students should be aware that there are several required lower division courses (100-200 level) that could be taken before admission to UWT in the first or second year of college that will allow a student complete the Environmental Studies concentration at UWT in a timely manner. Preparing for Transfer These preparatory courses may be taken before transferring to UWT or during the first year in the Environmental Studies at UWT:
Computer literacy - defined as the ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and communication software. Workshops are available for students with deficiencies in any of these areas. A minimum grade of 2.0 is required for each preparatory course and they must have been completed within the last 5 years. If they were completed before that time frame, please consult an IAS Adviser. See faculty or adviser or this table of local community college equivalents for specific transfer courses that are acceptable. In addition to the science/math preparatory courses and the Environmental Studies core courses, all BA students must complete the following requirements prior to graduation from UWT:
It is common for transfer students to have already met all or some of these requirements. Whatever a student is missing will become part of his or her study plan while at UWT. |
